Bella is a 7 year old Dalmation Mix who has found herself back at the shelter after living with a family for 6 years. She was given the name Bella at the age of 1 year old when she came into this shelter. When she was adopted she was renamed Gypsy-so that is the name she has known with her previous family for 6 years. Her family is unable to provide for her any longer. Although we are sad that she had to come back to us, we have some good information about her that we can provide for her next family.
Bella lived inside the house and is very house trained. She loved to sleep on the bed with her human-and loved to give bear hugs !!! She was kept loose in the house when no one was home and also went to doggy daycare. She was said to get along with other dogs and liked to play. Bella needs to be in a home without cats. She liked to go on walks, knows sit and is very friendly. Bella is said to have a lot of energy-has done well with older children. She does jump up to say hello, so this is a command that she needs to learn. So she may not be a good fit for younger children. We always recommend supervision with children at all times. Bella does not like loud noises, and is frightened of thunder storms. Bella had regular vet visits which her family said that she loved to go to--- and is said to not have any allergies, except to her harness-
Bella has been in play group with male dogs at the center. Bella's playgroup soundtrack could have been-"GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN!" She was silly, bouncy and offered epic play bows. Then, she would roll around and invite her play partner to engage. She was adorable and friendly.
Bella is waiting for her next family to come and give her a chance to live out her senior years in a loving home
Bella is ready to go home today - he is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and is already spayed. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
