My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

On Donner! Meet darling Donner! Donner is a golden retriever puppy who arrived with the rest of her litter into the rescue this week. Help us find the very best home for this good girl. Golden retrievers are the quintessential Northwest pupper, loving and affectionate, sometimes a bit silly but oh so beautiful and lovable! In French, Donner means "to gift" and what a gift it would be for Donner to have her forever family by the Holidays!

Donners nickname is "Poppy" because she "pops' like a jack in the box! This little girl is agile. Donner is eager to please, already learning basic commands - sit, stand, come, down and is a champ with other dogs and children. Outside is her favorite, a roll in the grass is the perfect day. Generous with puppy kisses and lovers her toys. Curious, adorable, all those perfect golden retriever attributes!

Donner will be adopted to a home with a secure fenced outdoor area for safe play, and a contract and deposit to ensure Spay by 8 months of age.

Please Note: We do not promote or
support dogs as gifts. Dogs are family
members and a commitment for their
lifetime. Bringing a pet into your home
should always be a thoughtful and
intentional decision.

More about this rescue

We are a committed group of dog lovers who have decades of experience in dog rescue, volunteering at animal shelters and owning rescue dogs. Most recently, our two founders, have been working with rescuing dogs from Mexico and the Asian dog meat trade as well as California kill shelters, Midwest puppy mill breeder releases and rehoming owner surrendered dogs in Washington and Oregon.

Deciding that we are able to rescue more by combining forces, Pacific Rim Rescue was formed. Our mission is to rescue dogs from devastating conditions from countries of the Pacific Rim.

We are committed to providing foster homes, veterinary and behavioral training for these dogs, so that they may live happy and fulfilling lives in their forever homes.
