My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Bobo!

Bobo is a lovable, one-year-old pit bull mix who hails from the Prince George area. Though he is new to the shelter, his playful and curious nature is already winning the hearts of staff and volunteers. Since he was found as a stray, lots of situations are still new for him. He is learning how to walk on leash and has a strong prey drive for wildlife. His ideal home would be with someone who has time and patience to work with him on his training and slowly introduce him to the great big world. With a little time, he will be an active and confident companion.

If you're looking for a sweet and goofy buddy who will be your lifelong friend, Bobo could be the perfect fit for you! He is still awaiting his neuter appointment, so we are looking for an adopter who can take him to/from his appointment in North Vancouver on Nov 28th. If you want to come and visit, adoption hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 12-3pm (closed on Mondays).

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
