Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi, I`m Peaches! I`m about 4 years old and weigh 22 pounds.
** I still need to be spayed so when my forever family decides to adopt me, I will be placed on hold. Then you can come pick me up after my surgery. **
Do you like...
Dogs? I`ve been nervous meeting new dogs at the shelter. I might be willing to live with another dog if my family is prepared to slowly integrate us into each other`s lives. Please bring any dogs in the home to meet and we`ll see if we hit it off.
Cats? I have chased outdoor kitties in my foster home. With careful and supervised introductions, I may be able to learn to live with a cat. Staff can discuss this with you further.
Kids? I`m pretty shy with new people and would like to live with kiddos old enough to give me space while I get my bearings. 10+
Anything else you`d like us to know, Peaches? My foster family says: `Peaches is one of the most affectionate and compassionate foster dogs we have ever had. She constantly wants to be by your side and will follow you around everywhere.`
I came into the shelter as a surrender and the above information is all recommendations based on my previous history and the behavior seen at the shelter. Expect to learn more about me after adoption.
It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption.
My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! If you think we would be a good match come on down and ask to meet me! I`m looking for my forever home and it could be with you!
ADOPTION INFORMATION: If you live in the city of Eugene or in Lane County you will be purchasing a dog license in addition to the adoption fee. You will get to choose between a one year, two year, or three year license.

More about this shelter
Greenhill Humane Society has been caring for animals in Lane County since 1944. We operate the only animal shelter within the Eugene/Springfield area. Our programs include animal adoptions; reuniting lost animals with their families; disaster response; crisis care boarding in situations of domestic violence, medical emergencies, and other crisis situations; spay/neuter for free roaming, un-owned community cats; a pet pantry; on-site volunteer opportunities; foster care and humane education.
Last year, we helped reunite or find new loving homes for 2,826 animals. In addition, we provided 469 cat spay/neuter surgeries to assist cat caregivers in reducing feral cat over-population.
Greenhill is a private non-profit and relies on donations for a majority of its budget. The generosity of our local community enables us to provide a high level of care to lost, abandoned, and neglected animals while at the same time helping pet owners in need.
