My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There’s that undeniable "aww" moment we all experience when we see an adorable, young dog in need of a little help. Stevie is sweet, loving, and irresistibly endearing. She has a way of melting hearts and leaving you absolutely head over heels in love. Stevie is not just a dog; she’s a reminder of the resilience and love that can emerge from even the toughest situations.

Sadly, for dogs like Stevie, the story doesn’t always start with a warm home. Before she found safety, Stevie was wandering the terrifying streets of Houston, vulnerable and alone. She was picked up and brought into an awful shelter that left her facing the very real threat of euthanasia.

When Rescued Pets Movement in Texas reached out to Farfel’s Rescue with an urgent plea to save Stevie, we knew we couldn’t turn our backs on this sweet soul. At just 8 months old and weighing 30 pounds, Stevie is a gorgeous mix of Border Collie and Cattle Dog. Shelter workers had already fallen in love with her—her sweet energy, her desire to please, and her natural ability to connect with those who show her kindness.

Without hesitation, Farfel's Rescue responded, welcoming this precious pup into our care. Stevie is now on her way to finding the forever family she so truly deserves.

From Stevie's foster mom:

"Are you looking for a running pal? A walking pal? A cuddle pal? A brewery pal? A road-trip pal? A kid-friendly pal? Stevie wants to do it all! We are positively smitten with this sweet, smart, super social snugglepup.

Stevie is a truly joyful dog. Whether its people, kids, or other dogs, Stevie loves everyone and everything she meets. She gets along great with our resident dog. When he’s had enough play time, she knows to back away and give him space.

Behind Stevies big brown eyes, you can tell that she loves to learn new things. She is quickly mastering new commands, like sit, stay, and lay down. It only took her two days to figure our her food puzzle game.

Stevie wouldn't mind a quiet home, but would also do great in a home with a lot going on. She loves activity and being a part of whats going on. While she tolerates her crate, its not her favorite.

She's a really really great dog and will make someone super happy!"

Stevie is up to date on her vetting and vaccinations to stay true to Farfel's commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. She has also been spayed to fulfill our commitment to ending the tragic canine overpopulation challenge.

Stevie is available for adoption now! Applications are currently being accepted for this gorgeous girl and can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If you're interested in this extremely sweet, cuddly and fun-loving best friend, please fill out our application completely and submit.

**PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Stevie, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
