Meet Erkle! This sweet, shy guy has had a tough start in life, but he's showing us every day just how much potential he has. Erkle came from a difficult situation, and while he’s still learning to trust, he’s already made huge strides in finding his place in the world.

Erkle loves to play ball! Whether it’s tossing a ball or chasing after one, you can see the joy it brings him. It’s his happy place, and with some patience and love, he’ll become even more confident as he learns to feel secure in his new home.

Though he’s a little shy and might need some time to adjust, Erkle is a quick learner. He would thrive in a home with another dog who can show him the ropes and help him gain confidence. With time, a loving environment, and a little patience, Erkle will blossom into the loyal companion he’s meant to be.

Erkle is microchipped, neutered, up to date on vaccines and his adoption fee is $475 .

Eleventh Hour Rescue, based in Morris County NJ, is a primarily volunteer run, no-kill rescue that saves animals on Death Row from high-kill shelters. Eleventh Hour Rescue dogs and cats are cared for by our compassionate and dedicated team of volunteers and staff. Whether in foster homes, our kennel or adoption centers, each dog and cat receives a clean and safe living environment, fresh food and water, medical attention, and most importantly an abundance of love and care until they find their FURever homes. We are dedicated to educating the community about the animal over-population problem and the importance of spaying and neutering. All funds go directly to supporting our animals and their needs. We are an eligible charity under federal code 501(c)3 founded in 2004.
