Hi there, I’m Nikolai, a handsome male Poodle mix about 3 years old, 14 lbs, and I was found as a stray dog in San Antonio Texas. The family who found me was planning to keep me but they already had 6 other dogs and were unable to keep up with everyone's vet care, so they surrendered me to 4 Little Paws and now I’m neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for a wonderful forever home!
My foster mom says I’m a sweet boy with a go-with-the-flow attitude and a medium energy level, friendly with people and other dogs, playful sometimes with my doggy friends but can easily entertain myself with doggy toys. Mostly I’m a people dog, affectionate and kissy, soaking up lots of attention and belly rubs, and I enjoy being with my people. I’m a good boy, already housebroken, only bark to alert, and know how to live nicely in a home. I’m not fond of being kept in a crate, but I don't need to be. I’m allowed to roam free in my foster home and I get to sleep beside my foster mom each night. I don't mind a walk or a ride in a car, and besides being exceptionally cute, I also have a wonderful personality and a very nice temperament. I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be, so inquire about me today and bring me home!

Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
