What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
This dog was found abandoned and severely underweight at a construction job site in northern Arizona. He quickly stuck to the security guard (my brother-in-law) like glue, following him for days and sleeping next to their security car. He was brought down to Phoenix in August, 2024 where he got all of his shots. The vet said he was about 11 months old. Despite never living in a home, he’s completely potty trained and has never gone to the bathroom inside. He loves all people and gets along well with our dogs, he has lots of energy and loves to play. The job site where he stayed had wild dogs, and as a result this dog is reactive towards strange dogs and struggles with resource guarding food and toys. Unfortunately, we all have full time jobs and though we deeply love this dog, we recognize that as a puppy/teenager, he’ll need the love and attention that we’re currently too busy to give.
