Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE STARTING WEDNESDAY 11/27 ***
Looking for a laid-back friend who believes life is better at a leisurely pace? Let me introduce you to Elsa, a gentle and beautiful blonde lab.
At just a few months old, she has already figured out that the good life isn't about running marathons - it's about quality time with humans. While other puppies are bouncing off the walls, you'll find this mellow girl contentedly snuggled up beside you during movie night or keeping your feet warm while you work from home.
Don't let her relaxed nature fool you though - she is still a puppy with adorable puppy antics. She has long, strong legs with the typical lab webbed toes and is still learning how to maneuver gracefully. Sometimes she looks a bit like a baby elephant trying to get her footing.
Some of Elsa's favorite things: professional nap-taking (extra points if she has a cushy dog bed), head scratches, giving kisses (she really likes to kiss her humans!) and peaceful strolls and yard time. Elsa would thrive in a home that matches her easy-going personality. She has done well with her foster home's adult dog and children. She is a bit hand shy at first, will cower when approached, and will do best with a calm, nurturing environment where she learns that humans can be safe and loving. Elsa is not house-trained just yet but making progress on potty training and basic commands. She does well on a leash for short walks and will do great with a bit more training. She seems to prefer indoor environments to outside play time.
Take one look at her beautiful gray eyes, sweet lab smile and ears ... and you will fall in love!

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccines, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.
If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please complete an Adoption Application at our website: savinggracenc.org
Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.
Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.

More about this rescue
Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.
We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption. If you would like more information about adopting one of our dogs, please email savinggrace@savinggracenc.org
