My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name used to be Wybe. And I thought, why me? After all, my face is half black and half white, as if I'm wearing a mask - like the Phantom of the Opera. So I could have been Phantom. Cool! Or with my handsome black and white markings, I could have been Oreo. Delicious! Or because I have a black patch over one eye, I could have been Pirate. Yes!

But then something even better happened. I was renamed Wemby. Big improvement, right? A puppy like me can work with a name like that. After all, I love chasing rubber balls. And I aspire to be loved by many. Also I will definitely grow, although not to be seven-feet, four inches like my namesake, Spur Victor Wembanyama.

Here's what I can do. I am crate trained and making progress on my house training. I adore romping with other dogs and kids. I have met cats and was respectful, giving them their space. I'm also leash amenable, which means I pull a little, but not a lot, and am friendly with the dogs I meet while walking.

Plus, I'm super cute, smart, eager to please and affectionate. I love being petted, cuddling in your lap and sleeping on your bed with you. But I'm not needy. I enjoy playing if you want, but if you're busy I'll chew on toys to entertain myself. And I'm good about chomping only my things, not your stuff. For a puppy you could say I'm easygoing, maybe even mellow.

I can't promise you I'll become famous like the human Wemby. But If you adopt me, you'll always be a star in my eyes. Because, as a former stray, finding a forever home would be my holiday miracle.

You can make it happen.
