Luis is an adorable, sweet-natured puppy who thrives on human affection. He loves nothing more than being held or cuddling up with his favorite people, always seeking attention and giving plenty of puppy kisses in return. Social and confident, Luis is quick to approach new people with a wagging tail and a friendly demeanor. He enjoys playing with his siblings and has a particular fondness for stuffed toys, often carrying them around as he romps and explores. Potty training is just getting underway, and he's making good progress. When kenneled with his siblings, Luis is calm and content, usually settling down for a nap. Fostered in a home with a young child, adult dogs, and a cat, Luis is well-adjusted and social with everyone, proving he’s a perfect fit for any family looking for a loving, playful companion.

- Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free Pet insurance. We are not affiliated with Pet First pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets.
- The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.

- A new study has concluded that (in layman's terms), breed assumption is NOT indicative of behavior in mixed breed dogs. Therefore, if a dog looks presumably to be a German Shepherd breed, one cannot assume the dog will have a high prey drive. From the study: "Although many physical traits were associated with breeds, behavior was much more variable among individual dogs. In general, physical trait heritability was a greater predictor of breed but was not necessarily a predictor of breed ancestry in mutts. Among behavioral traits, biddability—how well dogs respond to human direction—was the most heritable by breed but varied significantly among individual dogs.
