My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Everyone meet Skye. This little girl needs our help. Sadly her owner passed away. The family is doing the best they can to care for her, however Skye does not like cats and they have cats. They are currently managing the situation, but just want a better life for Skye than they feel they can offer her. Skye does well with older kids, she does not do well with cats or smaller animals. She does have a ton of energy and is going to need a home that can provide an outlet for all her energy. She is going to need a secure fence as these guys are great at getting out and running at large.

Submit Application

We ask that prior to arrival at the shelter you please either call or email for further details and to get an application for the pet.

2.
Meet the Pet

When you appointment time has been set, we will have you come and meet your pet.

3.
Take the Pet Home

If all goes well the pet can go home with you the same day.

Additional adoption info

Cats $150.00

All cat adoption fees include leukemia testing, spaying or neutering, entire series of vaccines, de-wormer & flea treatment while at the shelter, microchipping, free vet check within 14 days of adoption at any local Columbia County Veterinarian, a complimentary adoption take-home packet and a carrier.

Puppies (under 6 months of age)................................$350.00

Dogs (over 7 months of age).......................................$250.00

All dog adoption fees include , spaying or neutering, current on vaccines, de-wormer & flea treatment while at the shelter, microchipping, free vet check within 14 days of adoption at participating local Columbia County Veterinarian, complimentary take-home adoption packet and a leash and collar.

All adoptions must be reviewed prior to approval. In order to ensure that every dog and cat goes to the appropriate home, Columbia Humane Society reserves the right to approve or deny any adoption application for any reason they see fit. A home check may be performed in order to determine suitability. Columbia Humane Society's kennels are not open to the public, all applications must be filled out prior to meeting with a pet.
