We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs on leaving either 12/5/24 or 12/7/24 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Rocky to our trip for the right home 💙
Meet Rocky! He is a handsome, purebred shih tzu. He is 6 months of age, and currently weighs right at the 8 lb mark. He has a little more growth left but he will still be a little guy once matured and a cute one at that! He is set to be neutered on 11/26/24. He will be current on all vaccines, microchipped, thourely examined, and cleared by our vet prior to adoption.
Where do I start 🤪
Rocky is a total HAM! He is always bringing joy to our home, and smiles to our faces any chance he gets (and beleive me he doesn't miss any opportunities!!) He really enjoys to play with toys and loves anything that bounces, or is soft to touch. He is very charming and charismatic and will slowly curl up into your arms waiting to make eye contact so he can follow with kisses thanking you for snuggling him (even though it was his idea 😂)
He is WONDERFUL with other dogs and cats alike. He was raised with both in his last home that he loved immensely, and every dog he has met since with us has become an instant friend to him. He is always ready to join the fun, so if you have other animals that are equally playful he would LOVE to become their bud too! Don't have any other animals? I assure you! He will be okay with that arrangement knowing he gets to be the prince in his next home and get all snuggles to himself so YES!! YOU ARE ENOUGH to keep his little heart happy and days full.
He is not a barker, but will alert you of unfamiliar noises. He listens very well, and if you tell him everything is fine he will let you take over the investigation while he sits back waiting for clearance 😂 He had two frenchies as friends in his last home, and they attempted to show him how to be the protector of their home but he is definitely an Odie to their Garfield antics at the end of the day, and while he thinks he is keeping that mailman from approaching his tail never stops wagging as he would always await packages hoping they were filled with toys and treats 😉
He is crate trained, and sleeps in his crate at night or to nap during the day and he does so very peacefully! He can definitely transition to a bed in your room, or in bed with you if that's what you prefer. I promise he wont mind one bit if snuggle time was an all night event ☺️
He is leash trained, and LOVES to be stroll around town! He is wonderful in the car, and really enjoys looking out the window, so we definitely recommend a booster seat high enough for him to see the views as you drive. He would make an excellent driving partner, so you have to keep him happy!!
He is house trained, and will go outside to use the restroom as needed. We do ask him every 2-3 hours if he needs to potty, and if he does he will go outside for us. Training has come very easy, as he aims to please, and wants to be praised when he makes you proud 💙💙💙
His prior owner admitted he was much to young for her, and while she loved him tremendously she just couldn't keep up with his training. She didn't want to fail him, and while she prayed he would come in and follow suit to ger frenchies, she knew it just wasn't enough and he truly needed someone who had the time, patience, and love to continue raising him so he would flourish into the beautiful soul he was meant to become ❤️

When we have out of area adoptions, we always schedule a phone interview first to ensure the dog inquired about is the perfect fit.

Home Check
We request photos/videos of your home and yard space to ensure it's safe for the dog you are inquiring about.
3.
Sign Adoption Contract
Once all requirements are met, we will schedule a travel plan to bring your pup/dog to you. Adoption contracts are usually signed in person.
4.
Pay Fee
Adoption fees are paid in person, unless other arrangements have been made due to distance/travel plans requiring fees to be paid ahead
5.
Take the Pet Home
Once all above is met, the dog becomes the new adopting families pet and goes home with them.
