Meet Scarlett! Scarlett is about 7 years old, currently around 13 lbs, and might have some Dachshund in her mix. Scarlett came to us after her owner moved into an apartment that did not allow dogs. In her foster home, Scarlett is working hard on her house-training, crate-training, and leash walking. Scarlett could join a home with other dogs, cats and dog-savvy kids.
Her foster says, `Scarlett prefers a good sniff around the yard and chill time in a fluffy bed or a couch with a pillow and a blankie! Netflix and Chill kinda girl. She loves having other dogs around her but does not indulge in their need for speed or playtime romps through the house. She has moved pass those pesky years of destruction and digging. That`s energy she would prefer to put into sitting up and wiggling her little front paddle feet at you! She doesn`t mind a cat in the house at all either. And she sure hopes whoever takes her home is looking for a cuddle buddy. I have woken a time or two with her laying on her back in my arms with her head next to mine on the pillow like she has always belonged there. She would probably do better with an older dog that was ok with cuddling with her in a plush bed or chair or couch as she is very used to that.`
She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on December 6th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.
-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises. -Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt. - More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
