Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Howdy, my name is Clifford and I am a handsome Labrador retriever mix about 2 years old, and I weigh 42 lbs. I was found in San Antonio Texas trying to cross a highway during the early morning traffic and may have been clipped by a car. A very nice lady pulled over and although I was terrified, I let her pet me, put me in her car, and take me to the vet since I was limping. Fortunately, I had no broken bones but did have some soft tissue pain and needed some rest, and since I wasn't wearing a collar/tags or chipped, she let me stay as her foster dog. These days I’m doing great, and now I’m vaccinated, neutered, and chipped, so I’m ready to find a forever home!
I am a sweet low-medium energy boy, always friendly with people young and old, and friendly with kitty cats. I’m great with other dogs, preferring female doggy friends since I’m shy/submissive around male dogs. I’m easygoing and happy relaxing at home just playing with my doggy toys, going for walks or rides in the car, and love being pet and snuggling with you. I’m well-behaved and rarely bark. I don't dig or chew or guard my things. I have no separation anxiety and I’m crate-trained and housebroken. I’m just a wonderful boy and will make an awesome family dog and companion. My future looks bright, and I am so looking forward to joining a wonderful family anywhere on the East Coast! Inquire about me today and bring me home!
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
