Lily
Lily is a shy, sweet, silly little soul. A 3 year young, 20lb, spayed, female, chiweenie mix from Texas. She is looking for a quiet, loving home that can give her the mental confidence to be the fun, curious dog that she is at heart.
She does not like children or young teens and would do best in a home without as they are weird and stress her out! Young visitors are fine as long as they leave her be. She likes to play with other happy dogs/cats after a long trust building period. She is currently fostered with 2 dogs and 2 cats who she became happy to be around once she realized they were nice to her.
She is young and does like to play but never quite learnt how to. She would love for you to show her. She will boop you with her nose and let you know when zoomie time is, once she is comfortable with you. It is a very special, rewarding feeling when she finally opens up! :)
Lily will walk with you on a leash but is cautious of everything and walks can be very spooky when they are filled with weird noisy things that move, especially children. She has shown a lot of progression in this area, learning to trust her foster mommy rather than flee, and is only expected to continue to improve over time as she trusts her walker(s). She prefers to go potty in a backyard as stopping to do that one a walk is not her idea of comfort.
This VERY loving girl and will want to sit on your lap, sleep with you at night, she’ll miss you when you are gone and be excited when you come back. She is crate trained, house broken, loves food and is a very easy keep. Laying on her dog bed or the couch most of the day, getting up once in a while to potty, say ‘hi’ (boop), then grabs a toy to sneak back out of the way.
