My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Romance is a very friendly dog who is 2 years old and about 55 pounds. He was found by a lovely lady as a stray dog who was roaming a neighborhood by himself. He must have gotten out of his house or yard because he was already wearing a harness and collar! That makes us think that he might have escaped his home. One of his favorite hobbies is running around playing with balls. He loves a good game of fetch. He will even bring you the ball back for you to keep throwing for him. He likes to go on adventures and is always on squirrel duty. He is a professional squirrel chaser and wants to chase all. the. squirrels. Romance is looking for a home where he can be the only pet. He would like to rein as the only king in his kingdom and be absolutely spoiled rotten. He does not need a fence for his adoptive home. He also cannot have dog neighbors, but can have dog neighbors if there is a privacy fence. Romance is waiting for his furever family to come and meet him. Submit Application

Select an animal to meet with and fill out the Adoption Form online.

2.
Meet the Pet

Schedule an appointment to come to the shelter and meet the pet.

3.
Take the Pet Home

If everything goes well during the meet-n-greet process you will be able to take home your new pet the same day or arrange a 24hr hold.

Adoptions can be finalized same day. Please call our shelter to learn about our adoption policies and/or schedule an adoption appointment.

Go meet their pets

We are open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm for adoptions. Thursdays we offer later appointments and are open 10am-12pm and 1pm-6pm for adoptions ONLY. All Thursday evening appointments must be scheduled before 4pm. Adoptions range from 60 to 90 minutes to complete. The shelter is closed on Sundays, Mondays and major holidays.
