Chompy hasn’t had the easiest start in life, but we’re determined to help him find his happy ending! This little guy ended up at a local shelter, scared and unsure of what his future held. He was adopted but returned the very next day due to a biting incident. While we don’t know all the details, the shelter deemed him unadoptable and planned to euthanize him unless a rescue intervened. Seeing his frightened face in his shelter photo, we couldn’t let him go without a second chance.
Since coming to us, Chompy has shown himself to be a sweet and misunderstood dog. He’s been friendly and loving with our staff and other dogs, but due to his history, we believe he’d do best in an adult-only home. He’s still young—around 3 years old—full of energy, and working through some anxiety, so he’ll need a patient adopter willing to provide structure and routine.
Chompy thrives on exercise and would love an active home where he can go on outings and explore. While he may take a little time to warm up, once he trusts you, he’s all about belly rubs and snuggles. His past doesn’t define him—it was likely the result of fear and uncertainty in his young life. With love and stability, Chompy has so much potential to shine. Let’s help him find the safe, loving home he deserves! Please inquire today to hear more about our friend, Chompy!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
