Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Tumbleweed! Tumby for short. This tiny floof is quickly becoming not so tiny anymore, he is growing like a weed! With that growth has come a lot of opportunities for learning. While in a foster home, Tumby is learning how to let his foster mom know when he needs to go outside, how to put his mouth on toys instead of people during playtime, how to politely greet new friends (dogs and people – Tumby loves everyone!) while out and about, and how to relax when he has an exciting item like a special chew or tasty snack. He’s working hard to develop new ways to communicate when he is uncomfortable, and is looking for an adopter who is up for participating in that learning alongside him. Our behavior team is excited to support the very lucky family that will welcome Tumby into their home – if that family might be you, please email us to talk more about it! We’re looking forward to hearing from you.
***This animal is currently spending time in foster. If you are interested in learning more about them and scheduling a meet, please email NEASfoster@mspca.org***

Additional adoption info
Come in during open hours 11:30am-5pm if you see an animal you are interested in adopting!
Our Northeast Animal Shelter(NEAS) location also allows you to submit an inquiry online prior to visiting the shelter. Submitting an inquiry is not a hold, reservation, or guarantee on an animal adoption, it just gives NEAS a bit more information on you and allows staff to email you additional information on our adoption process.
We ask that you be in a position to adopt the day you visit with an animal. Our goal with adoption is to find a great match and have the animal stay in care for the least amount of time possible.
See www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ for more information on adopting from the MSPCA-Angell Northeast Animal Shelter.

More about this shelter
Northeast Animal Shelter, established in 1976, is now part of the MSPCA-Angell, giving us a better opportunity to serve our community, provide additional life-saving programs and services, and protect more animals from cruelty and neglect.
Our adoption program is designed to be welcoming, nonjudgmental, and free of lengthy applications. We strive to engage all prospective adopters in a conversation aimed at matching an adopter’s lifestyle, interests and home environment with an animal’s personality, medical and behavioral needs. Adopting an animal is an extraordinary opportunity to choose your newest family member. At the MSPCA it is a great privilege for our staff and volunteers to guide that journey for adopters and animals.
