My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

 Paging Doctor Love

Doc (FKA Doctor Worm) is the ultimate hippie dog-chill, laid back, and full of love. He truly is the kindest soul. At 2-4 years old, Doc is full of youthful energy, will sit for treats, and approaches everyone for pets. He’s just here to spread the love. Doc hasn't been in our care long but what we do know about him, we love and so will you.

Commands known: Doc is learning everything. He just mastered sit, and he’s food motivated and a quick learner.

Leash manners: Doc loves to walk, but he will pull on the leash. With time and training he will be a gem to walk.

Kids/dog manners: Doc has lived with a 1 year old baby and a 6 year old dog and he loves them both. He also doesn’t want to miss out on any of the attention. He can be properly integrated into new situations and be set up for success.

What Doc loves: Doc loves pets and cuddles!  If he’s feeling nervous or anxious…. Just scratch his booty or ears. He just melts. If another dog is being pet, he must be pet too, but he really does enjoy having doggie siblings.

Potty details: Doc is working on potty training. He definitely has pee pad training down and will go potty outside regularly, but may use the potty inside of he’s excited or nervous.

Not much is known about Doc before entering ELO, but what we do know: he loves life. Loves people. And likes other dogs. He’s very comfortable around all people of all ages. At the ACC, Doc snatched up a corn cob from the street and needed surgery to remove the object, and then caught pneumonia while in recovery. Every Last One rescued him so he could recover in a safe and healthy environment. He’s now safe and happy and follows his foster mama around the house looking for treats, toys, or cuddles. Doc would love to have a forever home with warm, loving, patient humans to dote on him and scratch his belly.
