This helps Waggytail Rescue - Los Angeles with pet care costs.
Clay is a 17-pound, playful, and energetic Chihuahua mix with a big heart and a love for adventure! At just 3 years old, he’s ready to find his forever family and embark on new journeys together.Though he’s still adjusting to city life, Clay has quickly become an expert at following his people around and keeping a watchful eye on everything happening in his home. He can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he’ll be requesting all the scratches and attention you can give him!Clay is highly food motivated, making him a quick learner when it comes to obedience training. His foster family has already made great progress with his potty training, and he now knows to go outside without accidents. He’s not trained to use pee pads, so his new family will need to continue taking him out for potty breaks twice a day. Clay is also working on his loose leash walking and is doing well in calm environments. However, he can get easily distracted in new or noisy places, so some extra practice on leash manners will be needed. A treat tip: Clay’s absolute favorite treats are freeze-dried chicken and yogurt, which are perfect for rewarding him during training!
Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
To apply for Clarence, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available.
Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue.
