My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dallas. Dallas is a 6 year old Bernese Mountain Dog that was surrendered to us after a life of breeding. Dallas gets along with everyone and everything. He is a true gentle giant with a kind soul. He is being fostered with dogs and children with no issues. He is crate trained and house broken. Dallas did start out wearing a belly band as he was marking when first brought inside. We are weaning him off of the belly band and he has not attempted to mark since.

Dallas walks nicely on the leash, but can be strong if startled and is still leery of coming when called. For this reason we are requiring a fenced in yard for Dallas. He has slowly been coming out of his shell, but still jumps if startled by quick movement or a loud noise. He enjoys the company of other dogs and often follows them around. So he will do best in a home with another friendly dog to play with. Dallas did come to us with ear infections in both ears which he appeared to have for quite some time. He is being treated but may reoccur. He also had a mass behind his one ear which we did have removed when he was neutered. He is now up to date with vaccines, microchipped and tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $400.00. Our adopters do need to complete an adoption application. Most adoption fees range from $250 up to $500. Depending on the age breed and health of the animal. Our average adoption fee is $350.00. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm/lyme tested if over 6 months old, microchipped and also have dentals if required for their health.
