Name: Boomer
Breed: Mixed Breed
Age: 8 weeks
Sex: Male
Weight: approx 10 lbs
Medical Needs: Will need to be neutered by 3/15/25. This will be scheduled and covered by GRR at one of the clinics we use. Keeping the appointment as scheduled is a condition of adoption and must be agreed to prior to a meet and greet. Because of this adopters must live within 1 hour of Delaware.
Housebroken: Not yet, but going very well. He runs to the door to go out but will still have an accident occasionally.
Crate Trained: Yes. Boomer sleeps all night in his crate with no accidents. He also naps in it throughout the day.
Good in the car: Unsure. They haven’t gone anywhere.
Good on Leash: We have not done any leash work.
Energy Level: 100% puppy energy at all times and then crashes hard for a nice nap.
Need fenced yard: No.
Dog Friendly: Yes! He loves to play and snuggle with his brother. He is also being fostered with 2 resident dogs.
If yes, does he need another dog in the home: No.
Cat Friendly: Yes. He loves playing with my cats. My cats are larger than him and very dog savvy.
Kid Friendly: Not sure. Foster does not have small children.
If yes, what age: Any with supervision. Keep in mind that he is in the baby shark era of his life so everything: fingers, shoes, dog toys, pants legs, basically anything he can get his mouth on is fair game.
Special traits that others should know: Boomer and his 8 siblings were found and rescued from an abandoned house on a WV mountain side so they didn’t have the best start in life. Boomer (like his namesake NFL legend, Boomer Esiason) will be the MVP in your home! He loves to run and play outside. Running in the crinkly leaves is his favorite! He barrels through them and grabs them in his mouth. It’s the cutest thing! He is also a great broadcaster! He is a vocal boy that loves to bark while he plays and while he’s waiting for his food.
Like all puppies, he will need patience, training, and consistency to become the best dog he can be.
Fosters location: Hockessin, DE.
