Dog Name: Romo
Dog Breed: Mixed breed
Sex: Male
DOB: 8 weeks (as of 11/20/24)
Weight: 11 lbs
Medical Needs: Will need to be neutered by 3/15/25. This will be scheduled and covered by GRR at one of the clinics we use. Keeping the appointment as scheduled is a condition of adoption and must be agreed to prior to a meet and greet. Because of this, adopters must live within 1 hour of Delaware.
House Broken: No, he’s too young. However, he does signal his need to go a fair amount of the time.
Crate Trained: Yes, he is confined in a crate/play area when not outside.
Good in Car: He’s a bit young to have much experience in the car but has not shown any concerning behavior about it to date.
Good on a leash: This is a work in progress, he currently doesn’t understand the concept.
Energy Level: Typical puppy energy, all out fun, followed by sleep.
Need a fenced in Yard: No.
Dog Friendly: Yes, currently residing with 2 litter mates and 4 adult dogs in the home.
If Yes, does your dog need another dog in its adoptive home? No.
Cat Friendly: Unknown.
Kid Friendly: Yes.
If yes, What’s the youngest child you’d recommend they be placed with. Any age with appropriate supervision. Romo is still teething and learning that using his mouth to communicate with humans is a “NO”.
Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? This beautiful pup is all “Black Tie” with a snowy white “soul patch”, shirtfront and 4 cuffs. In the last two weeks, this clever lad has mastered stairs (up and down), the doggie door (both directions) and will potty quickly when brought outside. He is interested but respectful of our resident dogs and has accepted their corrections well. Pictures of the mom show her to have a tan and caramel merle coat and green eyes. Though impossible to be sure, she looked to be approximately 50 lbs.
Foster Location: Lewes, DE
