Hi, I'm Mya! I'm a petite little fireball with a big personality packed into my small, athletic frame. People always tell me I’m adorable—and I agree! I absolutely love meeting people and form bonds quickly. I’m a confident, happy, and well-adjusted youngster. When I first meet someone, I might be a little curious about new surroundings, but I warm up fast and am always ready to play, run, and explore. Oh, and did I mention? I’m fast! Blink, and I’ll be halfway across the field before you know it.
I look a lot like a German Shepherd, but there’s something unique about me. My foster says my face hints at a mix, maybe from my adorable longer chin and cheek hairs. We’ve got a DNA test on the way, so I’ll keep you posted! Despite my small size, I’ve got all the GSD confidence and agility—and then some.
I love going out and about, whether it’s riding in the car, visiting stores, or even exploring agility equipment. Floors, auto doors, noisy playgrounds, strollers, bikes—none of that fazes me. I even visited the vet, hopped on the scale like a pro, and charmed everyone there. Treats are my ultimate motivator, and I’ll do just about anything for one! My eye contact is on point, and I’m super eager to learn. Agility is a blast, and I’m already tackling tunnels and obstacles like a natural. I think I’d be an excellent agility prospect with the right guidance.
Meeting other dogs is exciting for me. I might feel a bit overwhelmed at first, but I show lots of interest with soft, friendly body language. I’ve met dogs like Ari, and while we didn’t get to play off-leash yet, I’m pretty sure we’d be great friends. I also met a small pack—ran around a bit but decided quieter, calmer dogs are more my vibe for now. With time and the right introductions, I know I’ll grow into a great playmate.
I’m also a bit of a problem solver—like figuring out how to turn on a spigot to get a drink of water! (My foster says we’re working on the “turn it off” part.) I’m smart, quick, agile, and up for just about anything. Sniffing is one of my superpowers; I can find a treat with my nose faster than most can with their eyes. Balls? Meh, not so much my thing, but I do enjoy a little tug play now and then.
I’m looking for an active family who will teach me all the good things in life and spend time helping me grow. I’m fearless, eager, and full of potential—whether it’s agility, nose work, or just being the fun-loving companion you’ve always wanted. Let’s get to know each other; I can’t wait to see where our adventures take us!
I’ll be waiting in Santa Rosa.

BAGSR is always in need of fosters. There is an overwhelming number of dogs who need our help and the more fosters we have, the more dogs we can save. BAGSR covers expenses, including food. Fosters provide the love and a soft place to crash.
