My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

An affectionate, playful weirdo!

Like her namesake, Carly Rae really really really likes you. This affectionate, playful, and feisty weirdo is an absolute delight, with the perfect combination of lazy snuggles and wild zoomies to make you laugh. She’s a healthy and happy girl who would make a great fit for a variety of homes.

A vocal kitty, she has the funniest gravely meow which reminds her foster mom of a 20s gangster. Combined with her wing-like back markings (angel or cheeky devil, your choice) and gorgeous amber eyes, she’s a one-of-a-kind cat with a personality as unique as her voice.

Carly Rae is a nice mix of social and independent, both following around her people but also enjoying a solo nap in the other room. She’s also a brave girl who likes saying hello to new guests and showing off her fierce hunter skills by doing battle against her favorite pipe cleaner.

Speaking of pipe cleaners, Carly Rae goes absolutely nuts for them. She’ll acrobatically bat and leap across the floor for anything with or on a wire, keeping you entertained for hours. She simply adores playing. While we haven’t seen her with other animals, she might be a good play buddy for another social kitty. However, she isn’t *quite* convinced yet that hands aren’t toys, so she’s likely a better match for older children. She’s also pure cat when it comes to pets, wanting exactly what she wants and no more, no less. She’d thrive in a home that can respect her boundaries and will say thank you to everyone who does with lots of licks and head butts.

A regretful surrender after her previous family after they couldn’t care for her, we’ve seen her transform from scared and underweight to the confident, healthy and silly cat she is now. She’s excited to provide many years of adorable hijinks and affectionate licks to her future home.
