My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal ProfileDaphne, Evie and Pixie were surrendered in San Bernardino when their owner was sited for having too many dogs. They are 1-year-old, 35-40lb poodle mixes that are friendly with people and other dogs. With those sweet eyes and scruffy faces, we know they’ll get scooped up fast in the PNW!

Foster Update:  Daphne is an awesome young dog whose unique looks and wonderful personality are sure to woo people abound. Although it is evident that the start to her life was very sheltered and she lacks a lot of real world experience, she has greatly impressed us with her adaptability and willingness to go out into the world and experience new things. Daphne currently lives with two cats and another dog in foster care. She has learned a lot and has gained some confidence from being around her foster dog brother, although she is more people oriented. We believe she would do fine as an only dog as long as she has a confident handler to help her work through new situations. Daphne does great with her cat foster siblings; however, she does have a prey drive and is incredibly good at sniffing out rabbits and will try to chase them while on walks. She is house broken and is doing well with crate training. Being a poodle mix, she is very smart and super athletic and would benefit from an active owner who will enrich her both mentally and physically.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, andhealth certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
