My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! This is Chris. When Chris first came to ACT, he was so young and needed to be bottle fed. His first foster mommy did a great job with that. You would never know that he had a tough start in life because he is one of the best little guys I have had the pleasure to foster. He is so happy and playful. He is smart and affectionate. I love the way he greets me every morning. First, he gives me a high yelp, which I have learned means I want to go outside to potty. So I quickly let him out. He pees, then runs to me and jumps on me, which I have learned means pet me, hug me, pick me up. I've learned he is quite an explorer. He loves to search my yard for new leaves to eat or chew on. He has learned to crawl under the doggy cot with ease.
He melts my hearts with his wonderful personality. I believe he will have the same affect on his furever family.

Chris will be ready to go home by Nov. 26, 2024. However, I am accepting applications for him now. If you would like to be considered for him, please submit an application for him. Only an approved applicant will be allowed to meet him. Please check your email for replies from me.
My name is Anna. If you have any additional questions please feel free to email me at anna@animalcompassionteam.com

More about this rescue

The vision for ACT has been brewing in the minds of the Animal Compassion Team founders for many years. The paths we have walked have prepared us and tested our determination through hard work, buckets of tears, mountains of fecal matter (a favorite topic of discussion amongst animal rescuers), and more than our fair share of discouragement and heartbreak. Having said that, why would we choose to dive in deeper? For the love of the animals we serve. It is just that simple. Dogs, cats, and other wonderful animals are dying in huge numbers daily. We hope to help change that. In August of 2009, we became a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation with California and the Federal Government. It was and continues to be, a huge leap of faith for all of us who already feel overwhelmed by the work we are doing, but we believe this is the time....this is what we have all been preparing for. One life saved makes all the effort and emotional investment worthwhile. This is going to be an exciting journey, and we hope to post MANY happy endings.

Our Mission Statement:

To provide a safe haven for domestic animals, regardless of breed or species, through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for the humane treatment of animals and promote the human-animal bond. To educate the public about the importance of kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership which will emphasize spaying and neutering. To cooperate and work with other animal rescues and shelters towards the goal of becoming a no-kill nation.
