My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi.This is Liam. This handsome Shepherd pup is ready to steal your heart. He is pretty well mannered for a pup. He is smart and affectionate. He loves to play with toys, enjoys outdoor play time and will even potty outside. He's not potty trained but he gets the idea. I love to pick him up and give him big hugs, in return, he gives me puppy kisses. I love so much about his personality. If you get the opportunity to meet him, I am sure you will agree.

He was a bottle fed puppy. His first foster mom really stepped up and cared for him. She is the reason he is here, available and ready to start his furever life.

If you would like a loving, new companion to share you life with and maybe even travel, jog or hike with. This could be your new fur companion.

Liam will be ready to go home by Nov. 26, 2024. However, I am accepting applications for him now. If you would like to be considered for him, please submit an application for him. Only an approved applicant will be allowed to meet him. Please check your email for replies from me.
My name is Anna. If you have any additional questions please feel free to email me at anna@animalcompassionteam.com

More about this rescue

The vision for ACT has been brewing in the minds of the Animal Compassion Team founders for many years. The paths we have walked have prepared us and tested our determination through hard work, buckets of tears, mountains of fecal matter (a favorite topic of discussion amongst animal rescuers), and more than our fair share of discouragement and heartbreak. Having said that, why would we choose to dive in deeper? For the love of the animals we serve. It is just that simple. Dogs, cats, and other wonderful animals are dying in huge numbers daily. We hope to help change that. In August of 2009, we became a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation with California and the Federal Government. It was and continues to be, a huge leap of faith for all of us who already feel overwhelmed by the work we are doing, but we believe this is the time....this is what we have all been preparing for. One life saved makes all the effort and emotional investment worthwhile. This is going to be an exciting journey, and we hope to post MANY happy endings.

Our Mission Statement:

To provide a safe haven for domestic animals, regardless of breed or species, through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for the humane treatment of animals and promote the human-animal bond. To educate the public about the importance of kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership which will emphasize spaying and neutering. To cooperate and work with other animal rescues and shelters towards the goal of becoming a no-kill nation.
