My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Affectionate, Determined, Goofy

Who needs comfort food when you've got Tater Tot Casserole? Her sweet snuggles and adorable looks are comforting in themselves!

Tater Tot is a total cuddle bug who is happiest when she's curled up under her foster's chin or on their lap. She warms up fast to new people, showing everyone how friendly and full of snuggles she is! Tater Tot loves people so much that she'll even meow her little "old lady meow" when she wants her foster to pick her up (or if she's excited about food), but otherwise she's a pretty quiet girl!

Tater Tot isn't as crazy as some other kitties her age, but she still loves to play! Her favorite toys are fuzzy balls and the wand toy, and she plays great with other cats too. She's also very comfortable with the kids in her foster home, so she would be happy to go to a home with other cats and kids. The perfect forever home for Tater Tot is one with loving people she can spend lots of time with and get plenty of snuggles from!

Tater Tot Casserole has feline cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), which is a non-progressive, non-contagious neurological condition that causes balance issues. CH cats were born like this and usually wobble or have a funny gait; some cats have a minor imbalance and some are very wobbly! Cats with minor to moderate CH require no special care, or only minor accommodation, like avoiding stairs. Cats adopted from APA! with CH must be kept indoors only. CH cats have the same lifespan as other cats. For more information, please visit: lifewithchcats.com.

Tater Tot's CH is mild, so she uses her litter box perfectly and gets around just fine! Right now, she just takes one easy medication (clindamycin) to help with her condition.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
