Benji is a 7 month old, 68 pound Whoodle, which is a Poodle/ Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier mix. He is super sweet and loving. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. He is house broke and likes to go into a crate to take a nap. He has been around chickens, ducks, geese, sheep, goats and rabbits and does very well with them.

Benji was a stray that showed up at his foster moms neighbors house and when they ran him off he started sleeping in the garage with cats, kittens and a few chickens and ducks. ALl he wanted was for some to care for him and love him. He has that now and will never have to wonder from house to house looking for someone to take him in.
Benji went to the groomers and he did very well! He will need regular grooming for his soft thick hair.

Once that is done she will be in touch with you. We will not answer any questions until application is processed.

We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3 organization. We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets.

We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets. All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.

You must first fill out an adoption application to be considered. www.ffosk9resq.org
Our adoption fees are $275 to help cover the cost of spaying/ neutering, complete vetting, all necessary, wormers and any other medical needs. It also helps to offset the cost of food, utilities used to house our rescued dogs and puppies and other overhead costs.
In the event that you adopt a puppy that is too young for spay/neuter, a $50 payment will be made to the vet of your choice once an appointment has been scheduled.

More about this rescue

We are a home based, incorporated 501(c)3 non profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten unwanted pets in forever homes. We rescue pets from high kill shelters, strays, and unwanted pets prior to being euthanized. We do not adopt to outside only homes,or to anyone wanting to crop, dock or do any other alterations to their pets, except spaying and neutering. We highly recommend positive training methods once pets are placed in forever homes. All pets are completely vetted, heart worm tested and treated if necessary, brought up to date on all vaccines and rabies certificates. Also all FFOS pups are spayed/neutered prior to adoptions, except in the case of young pups, which will only be adopted with a contract to have them spayed or neutered when they are old enough. This is non-negotiable.
