My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Delilah & Poppy: The Perfect Gerbil Duo!

Delilah (a stunning orange gerbil with red eyes) and Poppy (a grey-and-white beauty with a striking black tail tipped in white) are a bonded pair of sisters looking for their forever home! These two girls have lived together their whole lives and are full of personality. Like most siblings, they occasionally have minor squabbles, but with a spacious enclosure and plenty of enrichment, they should live harmoniously together.

They were lovingly surrendered when their previous owners moved and couldn't bring them along. Now, they're ready for a second chance with a family who can meet their needs. Delilah and Poppy will thrive in a large, well-equipped tank with plenty of bedding for burrowing, hideouts, chew toys, and, of course, a large wheel (10-12 inches is ideal) to keep them happy and active. If you're looking for a pair of energetic, curious, and adorable gerbils, Delilah and Poppy would love to scurry into your heart!

To begin the adoption process for our small animals, please fill out the pre-adoption questionnaire below. Be as detailed as possible, and keep in mind that an enclosure photo will be required after we receive your form submission. Remember to keep an eye on your inbox, including the junk folder, to ensure you don't miss any emails from us about your adoption application.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:
