My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lily Lou is a happy-go-lucky girl who is ready to find her forever family. She is just as sweet and affectionate in real life as she appears in photos and will make a wonderful addition to any family.
Lily Lou came to Cameron Animal Hospital after being surrendered to a local shelter because her owners could no longer care for her. She was found to have very large bladder stones, causing her significant discomfort. However she has since had surgery, and has made a full recovery. The only thing she needs for her ongoing treatment is a strict diet of prescription food to prevent her from forming any more stones. Lily is otherwise totally healthy. Because of this requirement, we are looking for an adopter with an extensive previous veterinary reference.
Lily is approximately 6-8 years old and is spayed. Her adoption includes her full series of distemper and rabies vaccines; fecal testing and deworming; heartworm testing and 1 month of heartworm and flea and tick preventative.
Lily is a wonderful girl, with a signature move - everytime she sees a new person she runs up to them and flops over for belly rubs! Lily has been friendly with every person she has met, including children. However, she is more on the fence about cats (she is very interested in chasing). She has been good with other dogs, but can be selective about whether she wants to spend time with them.
Lily can't wait to met her new family, and is ready for long walks, and cuddling on the couch. Could that be you?

More about this rescue

Cameron Animal Hospital has been located on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, New Jersey, since 1936. The family-owned hospital is the first purposfully built animal hospital in the state of NJ, and provides veterinary services to cats, dogs, and other small animals, including rabbits, rats, ferrets, and more.

Cameron Animal Hospital is not a shelter, but works extensively with the rescue community in Essex County by providing veterinary care to local shelters, and finding homes to a variety of animals (cats, dogs, and small animals) who have come into our care.
