My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Bobby was brought in by a community member on September 28, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Bobby, a young and active sweetheart who loves to run, play, and show off his "sit" and "shake" skills! Bobby enjoys being pet and will happily climb into your lap for kisses once he feels comfortable! Bobby came in with another dog, and he's done well with other dogs on walks. This handsome boy prefers to keep his food to himself. He is looking for an adult-only home that can help him come out of his shell! Bobby would love to romp around the backyard with you, go on hikes, play with tennis balls and all kinds of fun toys, or take a lovely stroll through the neighborhood. He'll also take cozy nights by the fireplace! If you're looking for a fun-loving companion who's equal parts playful and cuddly, Bobby is your guy! Don't forget to bring a leash and collar when you come to meet this sweet guy!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
