My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Green—Kid by Kid, Dog by Dog

Kronk is a lovely little guy. He is a bit timid during the first introductions but is ready to play and engage after a few minutes. He can get super excited when on a leash and tends to jump on people he wants to interact with playfully. Once you start handling him, he might gently paw or mouth you as if trying to initiate a game. He seems unsure about how to play with toys and is a little scared of bouncing tennis balls, but he enjoys playing with plush toys.

He demonstrated a few behavioral cues, and it seems someone may have been working on teaching him to lie down, as he was able to do that quite easily. Although he was startled at most of the objects we tested for stability, he recovered quickly and showed no fear, except when it came to kids` toys—he seemed worried about their movement.

Kronk is a fast eater but showed no signs of resource guarding. I could pet him, play with his ears, touch the top of his muzzle, remove resources, and return them without any signs of stress. He displayed fear and caution during a stranger`s introduction, barking defensively. However, he showed wiggly body movements once properly introduced and approached the stranger excitedly. His greeting was overzealous, involving some mounting, nibbling, and licking with the tester dog. This behavior indicates that he is a young, immature pup with little to no socialization with unfamiliar dogs. This can be taught with the right approach.
