My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I was pretty nervous when I got to Safe Haven but now I'm getting used to it and all the attention. I really love playing outside and running with people. I am kind of a picky eater, and don't eat all my food all at once, in my furever home I might need to eat separately if there are other dogs around. I am good on a leash and want to go on walks with people here at the shelter. If I sound like the dog you've always wanted, submit an application today so we can spend our days together.   If you are interested in adopting this wonderful 7 year old canine weighing 78 pounds, please FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION on our website www.safehavenforpets.org. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 815-858-2265 or email us atsafehaven1471@gmail.com. Dog adoption donations are $200 which includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, Heartworm test, Lyme test, Bordetella, flea & tick preventative, heartworm prevention, deworming, and microchip.     Please visit our website www.safehavenforpets.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Additional adoption info

Once an application is approved, we ask potential adopters to come to the shelter to visit the pet or pets they are interested in. If it seems like a great fit, then we would have you fill out the Adoption Contract and provide you with the pet's medical chart, some of the food it is currently eating, and offer any advice we can on that individual cat or dog.
