My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Adoption Special - $50 OFF adoption fee sponsored by Good Charlie ***

Hey there, I'm Amy Ryllis, but my pals like to call me Pretty Amy because, well, just take a look at my adorable round face! I'm a delightful female brown tabby and white kitten, and I can't wait to find the purr-fect family to call my own. Let me tell you, I have a playful side that'll keep you entertained for hours. I absolutely love horsing around and chasing anything that moves. But you know what? As much as I adore a good game of chase, I'm always up for a cuddle session too. There's nothing I enjoy more than curling up in your arms or being snuggled up close to you. Oh, and let's not forget about my little red ball. It's my absolute favorite toy! I'll happily chase it around until I'm all tuckered out. Now, when it comes to my personality, I must say that I'm a real charmer. I have this amazing ability to wrap people around my little paw with just one look. My adorable face combined with my gentle and loving nature will melt your heart in an instant. I'm great with people of all ages and I promise to bring so much joy and happiness into your life. I'm searching for a loving family who will appreciate my playful nature and shower me with all the cuddles and affection I could ever ask for. In return, I'll be your loyal and devoted furry companion, bringing endless laughter and love into your home. So, if you're ready to welcome a little bundle of joy into your life, then please come and meet me, Amy Ryllis. Let's create amazing memories together and embark on a lifelong journey filled with fun, cuddles, and incredible adventures. I can't wait to meet you!

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. FRAs was founded in 2004 by 4 volunteers who wanted to support the Rowlett Animal Shelter. Our organization has grown to over 300 volunteers, and with this growth, we now support two municipal shelters -- Rowlett, TX and Garland, TX – and operate our own cat rescue program.

Our mission is to provide resources, programs and education to promote adoption and care of homeless pets in our community. FRAs’ vision is a world where every companion animal has a safe and loving forever home. We are a 100% all volunteer run organization, and our ability to help homeless animals depends on donations from the community and grant funding.

Our organizational programs include operating the volunteer program for both shelters, providing funding for heartworm treatments and emergency medical care, accepting cats from the shelter and citizens into our foster-based cat rescue, supporting TNR/SNR efforts for community cats and most recently funding dog transport initiatives. Our volunteers spend thousands of hours socializing and marketing the animals for adoption, which increases the number of animals with a positive outcome. FRAs has helped countless pets avoid euthanasia, find their forever homes and live longer, healthier lives.
