My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I fall more and more in love with Shep every single time I interact with him, he is seriously such a mushy lover boy! I am continually impressed with how gentle, sweet, and simply laid back he is. I cannot get enough of him and his big gushy, adorable face! He adores chin scratches, belly rubs, you name it! He loves everyone & anyone, and anything, he gets along great with the other dogs from big to small, and LOVES kids-especially when they take him for his walks, his tail never stops wagging, it is just so darling. Shep weighs in around 60 pounds or so, making him that PERFECT size, and energy level, let alone personality! Without even mentioning this guy is crate-trained, leash-trained, AND has his basics down! He will be perfect for you!

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!

Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
