My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Doggie is a sweet young boy who was found by a friendly human. Unfortunately, his owners could not be located, so he is looking for a forever home. He is 56 pounds and very friendly with all humans and other dogs (and birds, too). Playful, housebroken and good on a leash, he would be an amazing family pet. Rescuer has gotten him a rabies shot, flea and tick meds and he has tested negative for heartworm.

Chesed Rescue will be screening all applications, but adoption will be directly
from the rescuer. Doggie has already gone through his stray hold. There will be no adoption fee, but adopter will be responsible for having him neutered and bringing him up to date on his other vaccines.

Adoption fees range from $75.00 to $400 for a fixed, blood-tested, vaccinated cat/kitten, and $200-$700 for a dog. This includes all age appropriate medical care and microchipping.

More about this rescue

Chesed Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted animals. “Chesed” is often translated as “loving kindness”. Acts qualify as “chesed” when they are motivated by a spirit of generosity, not obligation.

Chesed is a small rescue, where we get to know each animal as an individual. Our placements focus on not just finding excellent homes, but excellent homes that are the right fit for each pet. Our adoption criteria is strict. We work hard to get these pets to safety, we donate many hours to their care, and will not settle for anything less that a great home for their future.

In addition to our adoption and education programs, we manage the Kobi center, which provides those less fortunate or those on a fixed income with necessary pet supplies, food and medications.
