Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Adora is my very first foster dog. And she is a lovely girl. Her house manners are amazing! She knows basic commands: Sit, Wait, Watch, Down. Her recall is better each day. She's pretty good on leash, and improving every day. The great outdoors can be a bit over-stimulating, but after only a few days, even outdoors she will Watch, Sit, Down, and Come with increasing confidence. And she's such a good traveler.
She's very agreeable, loves to be petted, follows me everywhere. She gives amazing eye contact indoors and getting better at that outdoors every day. She wants to greet everyone. She's good with large dogs, but over-exuberant with small dogs. Not good with cats, but I think even that will improve with time. Haven't had a chance to test her with children.
The day after she came to me, I bathed her, combed out all the clumps of fur, trimmed her nails, clipped the fur between toes, and brushed her teeth. She was a trooper through it all! She does not guard food or toys. And she's very polite. She gets on very well with my 10 year old greyhound... they sleep next to each other.
Adora is very food driven, has a very soft mouth so easy to train with tiny bits of Beggin Strips.
She is Heartworm Negative, is on NexGardSpectra (hearetworm, flea, tick preventive).
All in all, she's a terrific dog, healthy, happy, affectionate. She just needs a little time to adapt to the outside world. And oh my, she is very smart! And did I mention that she's beautiful! Please consider giving her a forever home...

More about this rescue
We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.
It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
