My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!

Salem was in the back of the kennel, lying somewhat subdued. He tolerated all petting on remaining in place fairly calm, but not particularly responsive. This may be due to his medical condition. Pick up was not attempted, but he appears to be a sweet cat.

Please note that this cat is being treated for a medical condition at the time of evaluation. It is difficult to determine at this time how the medical condition may be affecting the behavior.

Salem interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with either an average amount of cat experience or demonstrate a basic understanding of typical cat behavior.
