Meet Wade, a charming, adult dog who is full of life and love. His past has been challenging, but his spirit remains unbroken. Despite being dumped in the middle of the woods of South Mississippi, he has a heart full of joy and a playful demeanor that can brighten up any room. Although Wade was terrified at first, after a few days he has warmed up to us and has gained our trust. He loves to play fetch and enjoys a good belly rub. Wade has a sweet personality and is eager to please. He has so much love to give and is looking for a forever home where he can share that love. Wade's resilience is inspiring, and his sweet nature is heartwarming. He deserves a loving family that will provide him with the care, love, and stability he needs. Adopt Wade and let his joyful spirit bring happiness into your life.

The Stone County SPCA was organized in 2009 and opened a shelter in 2012 in Wiggins, MS. We have always been a no kill shelter. Our biggest challenge is the high demand to place dogs and cats in our shelter. Currently, we take in approximately 1200 animals annually. We do not euthanize animals for lack of space. We have a live release rate of 95%. We do this by keeping adoption fees low and transporting a large percentage of our animals (65% of our dogs and puppies).
