My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hotwheels is playful, affectionate, and looking for fun! He may be a bit shy at first, but when he gets his motor running, he is ready to romp! This little cutie's endearing antics and energetic personality will make you smile. His innocent yet mischievous face will melt your heart.

Hotwheels is an expert at finding exciting things to do! He adores the ball track and can't resist tunnels, springs, and balls. When he captures a squishy ball, he proudly carries it around in his mouth like he's taking a victory lap. Sometimes he pretends he's a race car and zooms from one side of the room to the other. When he's feeling mischievous, he play wrestles with his feline foster sibling. Hotwheels is independent enough to keep himself entertained, but he is happiest playing with people or another cat.

After a good play session, Hotwheels downshifts to cuddle mode. He loves being petted, sitting on laps, or snuggling with a feline friend. His favorite spots are under your neck or near your face; he's the perfect lap or neck warmer for cold winter days! When he's cozy and content, he purrs like a well-tuned engine!

Hotwheels longs for a family to love, plenty of toys and people to keep him busy, and maybe even another playful, active kitty. He's eager to find the purr-fect home that will cherish his cuddles and playful spirit!

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
