My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Python, the adorable kitten! I'm very social and outgoing, and I love being petted. I'm playful and get along really well with other cats. I enjoy exploring, getting pets, and lying next to my humans. I sleep at the foot of the bed. I'm gentle with kids and love playing with them. My best buddy is Cobra, another cat-we chase, wrestle, and nap together. We're not super bonded, but we enjoy each other's company. I'd love another cat to play with, though I'm always gentle with my humans. Sometimes I get the zoomies and race around like a little maniac. Toys are a big deal for me too-crinkly balls, tunnels, wand toys, and, of course, playing with other cats.

I'm a funny little character who loves making my humans laugh. When I get the zoomies, I gallop around the house, and it's pretty hilarious! But I can also be super sweet. I'll come up on the bed, say hello to each person, and then curl up at the foot of the bed. In the morning, I'll gently walk over to their faces to say, "Good morning!" It's one of my favorite things to do. I'm gentle, calm, quiet, and fun overall. I'm a healthy, happy cat who would love to be a part of a family!

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
