My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cobra, a sweet feline looking for a furever home. She is a laid back, curious cat who loves to explore and play with other kittens. Cobra loves to play and will happily chase faux mice or a feather wand. This friendly cat enjoys being petted and may purr contentedly. Cobra gets along well with other felines and is great with children, making her the perfect addition to any family. Cobra is sure to slither her way into your heart with her warm, friendly nature and playful personality.

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
