Gilligan is a 5-year-old chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. Weighing around 13 lbs, she's house-trained and crate-trained, making her a well-behaved companion. While she can be a bit shy with strangers, a slow introduction and a few tasty treats will win her over in no time. Once she's comfortable, Gilligan is a true lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle with you all day long. She's also got a silly side-watch out for her signature half somersault and adorable wiggling on her back! Sweet, affectionate, and full of personality, Gilligan will melt your heart.

Meet the Pet

The best way to meet our pups is via private meetings or at adoption events. We host these weekly at various locations around NYC.

Our adoption fee ranges from $275-$550 and covers the costs of vetting, boarding, transportation, and other necessary items for our dogs.

Hearts & Bones Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based rescue with dual bases in New York City, NY and Dallas, TX. We are dedicated to ending the needless euthanasia of shelter dogs through direct lifesaving, shared learning, and community building. Our incredible network of rescue partners, fosters, volunteers, and a small but mighty staff work together to save dogs in the areas where shelters are under the greatest stress, and unite them with loving adopters ready to give them the lives they deserve.
