How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by a community member.

Why this pet is the one for you:
This sweet feline is still adjusting to shelter life and learning how to interact with the world! They are looking for their new person who can teach them that the world isn't a scary place! Because of this, they are a bit shy when meeting new people but every day we are seeing more of this special kitty's personality. The way to this cat's heart is to offer lots of patient and positive interactions. Quality time together and lots of yummy treats will be the way to this kitty's heart. This baby will need to be kept in a small, quiet room as they discover their new home and grow their confidence! Allow them to go at their own pace and just think of the special bond you'll share because you helped this kitten come out of their shell!

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
