Hi there, I`m Alejandro! I came into the shelter at about 3 weeks old. I came in with what is called swimmers syndrome where my back legs stick out to the side instead of under me. Luckily, I went to a foster home and with proper nutrition and exercise it resolved all on its own! I have lived with cats, dogs and kids and am great with all. I can be a little fiesty sometimes and like to play bite, I just need some time to learn what is appropriate play. If you think you could be the home for me, apply today!

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
