My name is Louis!

Louis is a 1.5 year old male neutered 50 lb Pittie/Basenji mix who needs a loving home! At 6 months old, he was surrendered to a local animal shelter where he was considered for euthanasia due to severe kennel stress. Lou was saved by a rescue and received training, but ended up in foster when his adoption fell through. He urgently needs stability and to find his “person” as we cannot foster him long-term.

Louis is potty trained and crate trained. He’s playful, cuddly, and loves people. Plays very well with dogs and currently lives with 3 other dogs in foster. Rarely, he can react to certain dogs but only when very overstimulated. Does well with older kids but his energy could overwhelm young children. Previous Pittie or dog experience preferred. Up-to-date on all vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm medication. Lou is microchipped and ready to roll.
