Felix is living in a foster home. Please submit an application from our website and/or email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org to learn if you are a match!
Felix comes to us from Chicago Animal Care and Control. We spotted this wiggly little man in a kennel and knew we had to have him! Felix has been lucky enough to spend the last few weeks in a foster home with an 80 lb canine foster brother named Oscar (hence why his foster wanted to name this little man Felix!).
Felix has been learning the ropes and is great about going potty outside when kept on a routine. He is perfectly crate trained and is crated when his foster leaves during the day, and at night.
Felix still has some puppy habits, mainly that he likes to make toys out of household objects! If he is not watched, he likes to carry shoes, bath mats, and towels around the house as his prizes Being still under a year, he still needs guidance on what is appropriate!
Felix's foster mom writes, "Looking for a cuddler? Felix is your guy! He is up for fun play time whether it's playing with another dog, playing fetch or going for a walk. But, when it's time to rest, he wants to be right next to you. He has a big dog bark to alert you, but does not bark excessively. He knows to sit before his food is put down. He is very food motivated, so he should do well with training exercises."
Felix's adoption fee is $250. This animal is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
